Bengals vs. Man Uni 2 Match Report

With injuries still effecting the Bengals squad, a special Valentine's Day call went out to all the ladies out there. With seven ladies asked out on a korf-date, five replied with a flat no, and two dealt out the silent treatment.  Anna Flanders was lucky lady number eight who stepped into the Bengals ranks along side guest Renegade Michael for a revenge game against Man Uni 2.  Last time Bengals and Uni 2 met in the league, Man Uni 2 sneaked a 6:7 win after trailing for most of the game.  But this time Bengals were determined to come away with a better result.  Not only was it Valentine's Day, but it was also Chinese New Year and the beginning of the Year of the Tiger.  Surely the omens were there for a good Bengals result?

The game started with a quick goal to Man Uni 2 who's rent-a-crowd audience lapped up with a loud cheer.  However, Bengals quickly silenced them by reciprocating with a running in shot which resulted in a goal to level it. Bengals then took control of the game for most of the 1st half taking a 3:1 lead, but Man Uni 2 had trailed in the previous encounter earlier in the league so Bengals didn't count their eggs just yet.  The second half saw a determined Man Uni 2 fight back hard to reverse their deficit and take the lead in the game, but in the dying minutes, Bengals pulled out some wonderful play to level the score.  Final result Bengals 6, Man Uni 2 6.
