Warriors vs. Bengals Match Report

The Warrior versus the Tiger – man versus beast... A battle which has been waged for what feels like centuries with the outcome always the same – the evil Warrior empire triumphing over the mighty Bengal Tiger. The odds seemed stacked against the Bengals before this match was even played with Anderson, Praga and Lowe drafted into Manchester 2 to plug shortages in their trip to Lancaster. This inevitably just transferred the shortages to Bengals who drafted in a few faces not seen for a long, long while.
The match started with Warriors in disarray. Not only did Warriors delay the start the match by 30 minutes, but they played the first 10 minutes with seven players whilst their eighth player realigned their sense of direction and located the sports hall. Bengals seized control of the first half with Helen-The-Power-Powell netting two goals to secure her spot as female joint second top scorer across the whole league. The first half ended 3:1 to Bengals thanks to another goal by guest-cat Cat.
With Bengals actually enjoying themselves against Warriors, surely it was too good to be true? Six minutes before the end of the match Warriors pulled back two to make it 3:3. The divisions then swapped ends and in the last few minutes Flanders drew upon her former Bengals spirit powers to sink two goals and secure a historic victory against our bitter local rivals. Final score Warriors 3, Bengals 5.
With a great win against the old enemy, goals in Lancaster from on loan Bengals players Anderson and Praga plus member of the month for December going to Lowe this has been a fine end to the first half of the season for the mighty Bengals. Special thanks to guest players Michael Richards and Kate Hall for stepping up from Renegades to help secure our victory.
