Renegades vs. Bengals Match Report

Ah, Renegades vs. Bengals, a classic fixture. In our pre-match talk we emphasised the need to go into this game with respect for this new Renegades team. Their previous results showed that they could peg back some of the strongest teams in the league and fight hard. With Bengals still a man-tiger down, Alastair Lyons stepped up from Renegades. The game started well for Renegades with an early couple of goals. On the Bengals side Helen S. got us on the score sheet then…disaster struck after only 10 minutes! Helen S. pulled up with an injured paw and limped off to the side lines. What a blow for the team! This left Becky, Paul B. and Karl battling on as a three for 50 exhausting minutes. The scores remained close for much of the remaining game with Bengals gaining the lead for the first time during the second half, only to lose it shortly after. A hard-fought game by both sides ended in a 5:5 draw. With Bengals a tiger down, it was certainly a deserved league point. Get well soon Helen S!
