Man Uni 2 vs. Bengals Match Report

Our third student team in as many weeks.  Bengals have experienced the Lions roar, the Wasps sting and now "Man Uni 2".  What kind of name is that?! I mean, if they are trying to strike fear into us with a name like that then they are wasting their time!  And if team names are heading in that direction we might as well start calling ourselves something boring like "Man City 3"... Hang on... that's what we were calling ourselves until 2008.  Moving on to the match report...

Illness struck the team this week with Helen P. down and out to (swine) flu.  Amongst the gents, Massimo's replacement Stevie D. also failed to recover in time for match day.  Big thanks to replacements Anna and Simon for stepping in at short notice.  Bengals got off to a strong start scoring within the first minute.  Despite much pressure from a determined Man Uni 2, Bengals kept the score level pegging or stayed ahead for most of the game.  The game was destined to be a close one, but regrettably it was Man Uni 2 that grabbed late goals to go ahead of Bengals and hold a lead until the finishing whistle.  Final score Man Uni 7: Bengals 6.  But Bengals can feel proud of a strong tiger performance who were unlucky to take no points from the game.
